Grrr. Trying not to be the ass hole complainer but hitting my max a bit today…
If I have to watch /hear/ talk to one more Development or Ad exec,etc… who has never actually been on a set, in a production coordinator’s cross-hairs, had to understand the balance/yin-yang between contract stipulations and long term ancillary ownership … Or their misunderstanding of post-production contingencies, HTML5, cloud architecture and bandwidth issues, modified low-budget signatory agreements, unions in flux vs. non-union line that everyone is walking blindly… Or a clear lack of understanding of crowd-funding profit vs. non-profit. Or the complete ‘miss’ by everyone with regard to integration of retail & how there are no standard systems (any systems really for tracking and implementation) for behind the curtain yet for it. EVERYONE in media has to know these paradigm shift issues at least basically. …& everyone is hiring gatekeepers who seem to know very, very little of any of these.
