Up early trying to put into words the browser, cached files, cloud, offline thing/concerns with long form viewing from synced devices. Got my head in knots since 4am.

Need to sleep. Code stuff is killing me. I describe editing like being locked in a dark room full of knives trying to find the way out. Coding feels about the same to me. I say editors have a little something wrong with their brain that they would enjoy hairline frame adjustment/sync work… I hate it… Fries my brain… just had almost 24 hrs of both…at far too slow of a pace.
Sounds over-top & self-indulgent perhaps, but when I am wearing actor’s hat, as I had to today, feels life comes barreling through a different organ. Different than inception of a story or shaping of it’s organization. Just different. Self indulgent as it is and perhaps should be.

Talking to the kids at all the different schools… The greatest training for building what we/I are/am building now, I got, was in the fact that until I was six years old my parents lived in a house with no children my age in the neighborhood. I had to create worlds and conversations out of the walls and empty rooms.
Just so we keep facts on the table when everyone talks about the entertainment lobby being so huge.. Last year they spent 900 million dollars in the decade. Yeah crazy.
Oh…sorry ..almost forgot .. you may also want to hear the internet/technology sector 1.2 billion dollars.(and sitting officers in the White House staff)

I work every day with kids and adults teaching them about the new model…how to bring interface into the layback flow of story. How story architecture has to evolve. Funny everyone is saying in app purchases will dominate in 3 years. What they miss is, it’s actually “in content” that will dominate. Even those “in app” purchases will be surrounded by the emotional and appetite power of content.

How many people don’t think a website should get sued for accidentally making money off someone’s content but would sue a studio if they accidentally used their song in a film? Ask yourself honestly.
This is the slow democratic process of ALL the different signatory agreements (union, individual and corporate) across the board of production, that don’t work, vs. resistant democratic wants of web dev start-ups & billion dollar org’s who built for a simple non-collaborative media channel & $ model they invested in …which doesn’t work to protect that contractual...
The Internet is evolving into a complex collaborative media format yet web development is still being built w/ only singular format production plans/ideas/knowhow.
That is where the web is breaking.
& Knowhow of complex collaborative media means understandg production & most importantly, protections of all parties who created that media.
Innovation in delivery of content inherently has to be first informed by what and how the product is made. That is the problem with YC stance.
All of this SOPA/PIPA debate will go away soon because large behemoths like Apple and Amazon finally stepped in and listened to what some of us were saying. But it will be tragic for open and tech start-up community because they will be stuck on the outside of a massive hornet’s nest of proprietary tech patents by a few behemoths. I finally gave up after trying for 10 years to tell them this...

Web, if it wants to be a channel fit for delivery of specific media that other people build, needs now to move to build structures for the entertainment industry (specifically film and television ) to be able to become a “push” industry..not a scarcity one. But that means a change in structural priority. Browsers being layerable, licenses loosening their restrictions to be truly open,...
It helps that Exeter has some very prominent storytellers helping out with stories. ; )
So the PEA/EHS kids (mini geniuses) are starting filming/recording on the extensions of the Exeter storycube. The entire town being turned into a virtual Disneyland. Exeter is about to become a giant version of dual reality and fiction colliding.. (this one helps when you have 100+ inducted and trained storycube production army) massive scale made easy.
